#2 - Thought it would be easier to get a GED.
#3 - They were getting poor grades or failing.
At-risk students are in jepordary of not graduating and are less likely to transition successfully into adulthood.
Hoʻomau Character Development Initiative
Hoʻomau means to preserve or endure in Hawaiian.
Help increase school attendance and graduation rates, among at-risk students, through character education.
Middle School & High School
At-risk boys and girls that the administration has recommended.
Sessions will be limited to 10 students, 5 boys & 5 girls.
The same adult(s) will be with the students for the duration of the program.
The administration MUST refer the student.
Students MUST attend ALL sessions and participate FULLY to earn attendance forgiveness.
